Let us learn more about ceramic fritted glass
Ceramic fritted glass is the inorganic glaze (also known as ink) printed on the glass surface and then dried, tempered, or thermally processed. And the glaze is permanently sintered on the glass surface to obtain a wear-resistant, acid, and alkali-resistant decoration. It can be tempered glass or semi-tempered glass. In addition to its strong decorative effect, silk screen printing glass also has sunlight control and UV protection characteristics and is widely used in architectural decoration. It can be mainly divided into three types:
Screen printing glass
The glaze of the portrait or pattern is printed on the glass surface through a pre-fabricated screen stencil, then dried at a temperature or by a fan, and then placed in a tempering furnace for high-temperature sintering. The pattern is bright and beautiful, durable, and will not fade. Screen printing glass patterns are usually lines, dots, waves, etc.

Digitally printed glass
Digitally printed glass production process: pictures in any digital format (such as AI. JPG. EPS. TIFF. PDF, etc.) can be converted into drawings suitable for processing by special software, and then the water-soluble ink is accurately printed on the cleaned glass by digital printing. The surface can be dried at room temperature or under infrared light. Then the glass will be tempered at the tempering furnace under the same temperature as silk printing glass. The digital printing surface can be applied to tempered glass, float glass, laminated glass, etc.

Low-temperature ink printing glass
It is mainly used in glassware, such as light glass, cosmetic bottles, and daily glass dinnerware. Seldom used in architectural glass.

Performance characteristics of ceramic fritted glass
- Cheaper and easier to install than other materials such as brick, stone, or wood
- Various colors and patterns (generally can be customized according to customer requirements), with a wide range of choices.
- It is non-absorbing, non-penetrating, and easy to clean.
- It will not fade or peel off, so the original color is consistent with the life of the building.
- The glazed surface can absorb and reflect part of the solar heat energy, which has the effect of energy saving.
- It can carry out composite processing such as coating, interlayer, synthetic hollow, etc., and obtain special properties for other purposes.
- After tempering, the final product has good mechanical properties, impact and thermal shock resistance, and higher safety performance.
- The shading effect is obvious.
