Project Background
Recently, VSOM GLASS completed a custom interior partition glass project from Southern Europe, providing an ultra-clear fluted laminated glass solution for a local customer in the glass service industry.
This project was mainly applied to interior partition areas. The customer hoped to use glass materials to create a more natural connection between different spaces, while achieving a softer visual effect. Meanwhile, the glass needed to maintain indoor daylighting, provide a certain level of privacy, and add richer visual layers to the space.
Based on the drawings provided by the customer and the actual application requirements, VSOM GLASS conducted comprehensive considerations regarding the glass structure, texture effect, processing requirements, and other aspects, and customized ultra-clear fluted laminated glass products that met the project design requirements.
Project Requirements
In this project, the customer had high requirements for the overall visual effect and processing quality of the partition glass.
First, the customer hoped that the glass could meet the daylighting requirements of the interior space while creating a softer transition between different areas and providing a certain level of privacy. In addition, the customer also expected the glass to coordinate with the overall interior design style and enhance the decorative effect of the space.
Second, according to the design drawings provided by the customer, the partition areas in this project included different spatial design requirements, including both straight-line areas and curved design applications. Therefore, the customer expected the glass products to be matched according to the design characteristics of different areas while maintaining consistency in overall visual effects and spatial style.
Solutions
Based on the customer’s design requirements and the actual application conditions of the project, VSOM GLASS provided an ultra-clear fluted laminated glass solution for this project.
According to the design characteristics of different partition areas, we customized two types of product solutions: ultra-clear fluted tempered laminated glass and ultra-clear fluted hot bending laminated glass, to meet the application requirements of different spatial designs.
1. Ultra-Clear Fluted Tempered Laminated Glass Solution
For the straight-line partition areas in the project, VSOM GLASS customized:
- 5mm Ultra-Clear Tempered Glass + 1.52PVB + 5mm Ultra-Clear Fluted Tempered Glass
This structure combines the advantages of ultra-clear glass, tempered processing, fluted texture, and laminated glass structure.
Among them, ultra-clear glass offers higher transparency compared with ordinary glass, reducing the color deviation of the glass itself and providing a clearer and more natural visual effect while maintaining better visual transparency in the interior space.
Tempered processing improves the strength and durability of the glass; meanwhile, the fluted texture maintains good light transmission while adding unique texture expression to the glass, enriching the visual effect of the space. It allows the partition to meet certain privacy requirements while also enhancing the overall decorative effect.
At the same time, a 1.52PVB interlayer is used in the middle to create a stable combination between the two glass panels, further improving the overall safety performance and reliability of the glass, making it more suitable for applications such as interior partitions.

2. Ultra-Clear Fluted Hot Bending Laminated Glass Solution
For the partition areas with curved design requirements in the project, VSOM GLASS customized according to the customer’s design requirements:
- 5mm Ultra-Clear Hot Bending Glass + 1.52PVB + 5mm Ultra-Clear Fluted Hot Bending Glass
This solution combines the clear visual quality of ultra-clear glass, the decorative effect and certain privacy provided by the fluted texture, as well as the advantages of laminated glass structure, while achieving the curved shape required by the design through hot bending processing.
The hot bending process enables the glass to better adapt to the curved design of the space while maintaining consistent texture effects and visual presentation with the overall interior design. The laminated structure further improves the overall stability of the product, allowing the glass to achieve both design requirements and safety performance.
Through the combination of the above two glass solutions, VSOM GLASS met the application requirements of different partition areas in the project. Among them, ultra-clear fluted tempered laminated glass was applied to the straight-line areas, while ultra-clear fluted hot bending laminated glass was used to meet the design requirements of curved areas.
The two products were customized according to different spatial structures while maintaining consistent texture effects, allowing the glass partitions to better integrate into the overall interior design.

Product Packaging and Transportation
After all glass products were processed, VSOM GLASS developed corresponding packaging solutions based on the characteristics of different products to ensure the safety of the glass during sea transportation.
Since this project involved customized products including ultra-clear fluted tempered laminated glass and ultra-clear fluted hot bending laminated glass, professional protective measures were applied during the packaging process to protect the glass, reduce potential risks such as impact and friction during transportation, and ensure that the products could be delivered to the customer in good condition.
With reasonable packaging solutions and transportation arrangements, the products have been successfully shipped to the customer’s location, providing reliable support for subsequent project applications.
Project Results
During this project cooperation, VSOM GLASS successfully completed the custom processing and delivery of ultra-clear fluted laminated glass products. The delivered glass products met the customer’s requirements for interior partition applications.
Through reasonable glass customization matching between straight-line and curved areas, the glass products in this project maintained consistent texture effects and spatial style while meeting the requirements of different spatial designs, making the overall partition effect more coordinated.

Conclusion
The application of glass in interior spaces not only needs to meet practical usage requirements but also needs to coordinate with the overall design effect. For different projects, selecting suitable glass types and processing methods based on spatial characteristics and application requirements is an important factor in achieving ideal results.
