
Project Overview
This project comes from a contractor client in Australia and is applied to a display cabinet project. The client stated in the early communication stage that the display cabinet needed to achieve a balance between visual display performance and structural safety, and also had certain requirements for the curved forming effect.
Based on the project requirements, we provided the client with ultra-clear hot bending laminated glass (4+0.76PVB+4) samples for initial trial-fitting verification. The main purpose of this stage is to confirm the adaptability of the glass within the display cabinet structure through actual installation results, and to serve as an important reference for subsequent bulk orders.
Client Requirements
The core requirements of this display cabinet project are mainly focused on three aspects: display performance, structural adaptability, and safety performance. The client expected the glass to maintain high transparency while stably achieving curved forming, and to maintain good fitting performance during actual installation, as well as reliable safety in use.
Overall, the requirements can be summarized as: high light-transmittance display effect, stable curved forming effect, and reliable installation adaptability with safety assurance.
Solution
For this display cabinet application, we provided an 8.76mm ultra-clear hot bending laminated glass solution (4+0.76PVB+4).
The key focus of this structure is to meet “high-transparency display effect”, “curved forming accuracy”, and “usage safety” three requirements. The ultra-clear glass itself features low iron content, which effectively reduces overall color deviation, allowing the display cabinet to maintain high transparency and visual purity under different lighting conditions.
At the structural level, the 4+0.76PVB+4 laminated combination not only improves overall safety performance, but also achieves interlayer bonding stability through the PVB interlayer, enabling better impact resistance and overall structural stability in open display applications such as display cabinets.
During the hot bending forming process, we customized mold according to the actual curve radius of the display cabinet, and controlled the hot bending process to ensure that the curve arc is consistent with the design requirements. At the same time, we focused on the following key points during processing:
- Ultra-clear glass raw material quality control: ensuring high transparency and stable quality;
- Hot bending forming accuracy control: ensuring continuous curvature consistent with the cabinet structure;
- Dimensional accuracy and edge processing control: ensuring good fitting during on-site installation;
- Curved visual consistency control: maintaining uniform light transmission under different viewing angles;
- Laminated pressing stability control: avoiding bubbles, delamination, and edge stress concentration issues.
Through the above process control, the ultra-clear hot bending laminated glass achieved a good balance between display performance, curved forming accuracy, and usage safety.

Trial Installation and Feedback
After production was completed, the samples were packaged in plywood crates and shipped via express delivery to ensure stability and safety during transportation.
Upon arrival at the client site, the samples were successfully trial-installed. From the actual installation situation, the glass matched well with the display cabinet structure, the hot bending forming transition was natural, the overall transparency performance was stable, and the visual effect met the requirements of the display cabinet application.
After completing the trial installation, the client confirmed that the sample met the expected standard and stated that it could proceed to the next stage of bulk order communication.

Conclusion
This Australia display cabinet project once again verified the structural stability and visual performance of ultra-clear hot bending laminated glass in display cabinet applications.
From the sample trial-fitting results, the glass structure was able to meet the actual requirements of display cabinet use in terms of transparency performance, hot bending forming accuracy, and overall safety performance, and received positive feedback from the client.
