Recently, VSOM GLASS provided 780 pieces of 6mm and 12mm painted glass to a client in the Asian furniture industry, with colors customized according to the client’s Pantone color cards, achieving a balance between color and texture in their furniture design.
Project Requirements
The client hoped to use painted glass in their furniture products to enhance overall visual quality while ensuring that the color and surface finish of each piece remained consistent. Specific requirements included:

Our Solution
In the client’s furniture design, glass serves both decorative and functional purposes, so both aesthetic appeal and practical performance must be considered in thickness selection and color matching. According to the different needs, our solution offered two thicknesses:
- 6mm painted glass: Suitable for non-load-bearing parts, providing a light visual effect and easy coordination with furniture design;
- 12mm painted glass: Used for structural or load-bearing parts, balancing sturdiness and durability while maintaining consistent surface gloss and color.
For color customization, to ensure close alignment with the client’s Pantone color cards, multiple rounds of sample testing and fine-tuning were conducted:
- Initial color samples: Base paint was mixed according to the color card, and small batches of samples were produced for client confirmation;
- Batch adjustments: Formulations were fine-tuned based on client feedback to control color deviations, ensuring stable color across all glass batches;
- Baking process control: By adjusting baking temperature and time, the paint layer adhered evenly and the surface gloss remained consistent;
- Thickness-specific adjustments: For 6mm and 12mm glass, production parameters were optimized individually during painting and baking to ensure consistent color and gloss across different thicknesses.

Production and Quality Control
During production, each piece of glass’s paint layer thickness, adhesion, flatness, and surface gloss were inspected to ensure color and surface finish stability. Key measures included:
- High-temperature baking: Ensure the paint adheres firmly and enhances surface smoothness and durability;
- Batch comparison: Each batch of glass samples was compared with Pantone color cards to minimize color deviation;
- Surface inspection: Prevent bubbles, scratches, or color differences to ensure uniform appearance;
- Packaging monitoring: Shockproof and moisture-proof measures were applied to protect the glass during transportation.
Through these controls, VSOM GLASS ensured that large-scale glass production maintained consistent color, thickness, and surface quality, providing reliable materials for the client’s furniture manufacturing.
Shipping and Delivery
The order was shipped to the client’s factory by sea. To prevent damage during long-distance transportation, each box of glass was carefully packaged with shockproof and moisture-proof measures. Upon arrival, the glass remained in excellent condition, providing a smooth foundation for subsequent furniture processing and assembly.
